The steam cleaners that are sold on TV and in some stores work well to remove the surface dirt from tiling and grout, which is why they are great for maintenance between cleanings. But, they are not a substitute for a professional cleaning.
Floor manufacturers recommend that you have your tile and grout cleaned once every 12 to 18 months in order to effectively clean the stubborn dirt that lies deep in the pores of your grout lines. If you have a lot of foot traffic and/or pets, you may need to have your tile cleaned more frequently.

The system generates water pressure of 1,000 to 1,200 P.S.I. and water temperature of approximately 240°F to soften and extract years of soil and contaminants. Immediately after we clean your tile and grout we can also apply a grout sealant to help protect your grout from dirt and stains. Remember, grout is porous, so it will absorb soil and spills, just like carpet. Having a sealant applied will help create a protective barrier, which will give you more time to clean up dry and liquid dirt before it soaks into the grout.
